No only did it give me a poofier skirt, but I wore it low so it added a few inches to my hemline. My friend also has a “slutty” costume with sheer material in the front and an open back… so she bought a matching camisole and wore it underneath (she tucked the straps into her bra) and NO ONE knew. Pairing the costumes with opaque tights (instead of fishnets) and wearing a lower heel or flat shoe also decreases the skank-factor.
  
  So buy what you like, but tweek it to work for you…either by buying a larger size then hemming the bottom to where YOU feel comfortable, or wear accessories that tame the outfit. Good luck

  I’m not sure, I haven’t ever been during Halloween before, but I can assure you that if they do, then you will be spending a LOT more money on a costume there than just buying before you go. They sell all manner of princess, fairy, etc. costumes for kids, but you can get authentic Disney costumes and accessories at WalMart, Toys ‘R’ Us, etc. for less than half of what they cost at Disney World; it would be the same way if they sold adult costumes.

A witch is a black dress, a witch’s hat, high heels, and some exaggerated makeup.

  If you make your own all you need is about 3 yards of fabric or less (Depends on how short you want it) make a short little tube dress or your own little black dress you already have then add electrical tape and accessories.

  yellow/black antenna accessory (headband and pipe cleaners)
  on the back use tape to make the shape of cute little wings.

  black fabric tube dress or a little black dress you already own

  Pirate/eyepatch and sword purchased at the dollar store and a bandanna. You can add a pirate corset using red electrical tape to your tube dress.

  Do you wear contact lenses? Reason I ask is that you can have a great Halloween look by dressing quite “normally” but by putting on some Halloween contact lenses, maybe spiral ones which make you look like a zombie or cat eye ones /wolf ones that look like animals, your eyes create the costume and the clothes themselves don’t really matter. Though you could dress as a zombie nurse!

Halloween Costumes?
Does anyone know of a website that has inexpensive and unique costumes? I want to be a Southern Belle or something else in a big dress/gown. I have found 2 costumes that I think are okay but you can find them on every website there is and I would like something more unique.

Anything else I find is upwards of 0 and I can’t bring myself to spend that much money on something I will wear only once.

  Go with something like the first costume. Have you tried looking on ebay. Or check your local thrift stores.

sheep adult halloween costumes…?
ok, so i’m 16 years old and i want to b a sheep for Halloween. i had the idea of gluing hundereds of cotton balls to a dress and painting my hands, feet, and nose black. does anyone have any suggestions to make this idea better?

  You should take the stuffing out of pillows and glue it on to a white sheet. That way you don’t have to mess with little cotton balls. The face paint sounds like a great idea.

Cute DIY adult Halloween costumes?
I’m going trick or treating with my sister and nephews this year and my nephew is INSISTING that I dress up with him. The boys are 2 and 3. I don’t know what to be lol. I wanna be able to make the costume myself. Any ideas that are cute and simple and not slutty? I mean, I know Halloween is the one day dressing like a whore is okay, but I’m gonna be with little kids who like to be held and pull on my shirt. And know what body parts are. My sister and I might go as a set… So something that she and I could both do.. Thank you

  Well, you could go simple- like a farmer or a lumber jack-
  
  1. Jeans, overalls, plaid shirt and a hat.- straw hat for the farmer, a knit cap for the lumber jack.
  2. Go as a ‘handy man’ or ‘handy woman’- wear the same as above- blue jeans, plaid shirt and maybe a hard hat. The tool belt would be a nice touch. The hard hat is inexpensive- you can get one at someplace like Home Depot. Same for the tool belt.
  3. Go as a chef. You would probably have to go to a restaurant supply store or order on line- the jacket and the hat.
  
  Just a few ideas. Not too expensive and you can use them next year, too.
